Agentic AI · Task agents

# An AI agent for recruiting. It sorts and summarises; people decide.

A recruiting agent reads every application, summarises each CV against the role’s requirements, answers candidates’ routine questions and schedules interviews. It does not reject anyone: your recruiters see the summaries and decide. In the EU, AI used to screen candidates is high-risk under the AI Act, with duties from 2 December 2027, which makes a person in every decision the safe design.

[How GrowAI works](https://www.growaxis.net/engines/growai)

Built for founders who…

- …have a task that repeats every day and follows rules
- …want AI to do the work and a person to make the calls
- …want the agent run and improved after launch, not left alone

## What the agent does

1. ### Application intake
Applications collected from your job boards and careers page.
2. ### CV summaries
Each CV summarised against the role’s must-haves and nice-to-haves.
3. ### Candidate questions
Routine questions about the role and the process answered.
4. ### Scheduling
Interviews booked into your team’s calendars.
5. ### People decide
Recruiters shortlist and reject; the agent never does.
6. ### Records
Every step logged in your applicant tracking system.

__Three ways to handle the task__
| Aspect | By hand | Rules-based automation | An AI agent with a person checking |
| ------------- | ------------------- | --------------------------------- | ---------------------------------- |
| Routine cases | Slow and costly | Fast, if the format never changes | Fast, even when the format changes |
| Unusual cases | Handled by a person | Break the flow | Sent to a person with the reason |
| Who decides | A person | The rules | A person, on what matters |

## AI agent for recruiting: what to know first

EU AI Act

AI used to screen or rank job candidates is high-risk under the AI Act; after the 2026 Digital Omnibus those duties apply from 2 December 2027.

Task agents

Gartner expects 40% of enterprise apps to include task-specific AI agents by the end of 2026, up from under 5% in 2025.

After launch

Gartner expects over 40% of agentic AI projects to be cancelled by the end of 2027, on cost, unclear value or weak risk controls, and 70% of enterprises to abandon agents a vendor built and they cannot change themselves by 2028.

What agents cost elsewhere

Published 2026 build prices: about $12,000 to $22,000 for a single-tool agent, $28,000 to $52,000 for an agent that reads your documents (RAG), and $60,000 to $120,000 for a system of three to five agents, plus $200 to $5,000 a month to run them.

## Built, checked and run with your team.

We agree the task, the systems it touches and where a person checks, then build the agent and test it on your real cases. It goes live with a person checking its work, and GrowAxis runs and improves it with you every month. The workflows, prompts and documentation stay yours.

1. Discovery call
2. Task and checks agreed
3. Agent built and tested
4. Live with a person checking
5. Reviewed every month

## AI agent for recruiting: what founders ask first.

- ### Can AI screen CVs?
It can sort and summarise them against the role. In our set-up it never rejects anyone: recruiters decide, which also fits the EU AI Act’s rules for AI in hiring.
- ### Which tools does it work with?
Your applicant tracking system, email and calendars, through their official connections.
- ### Who runs the agent after launch?
GrowAxis, with your team. Gartner expects over 40% of agentic AI projects to be cancelled by the end of 2027, on cost, unclear value or weak risk controls, and 70% of enterprises to abandon agents a vendor built and they cannot change themselves by 2028\. So the agent is reviewed every month, and the workflows, prompts and documentation stay yours.
- ### How much does it cost?
Published 2026 build prices: about $12,000 to $22,000 for a single-tool agent, $28,000 to $52,000 for an agent that reads your documents (RAG), and $60,000 to $120,000 for a system of three to five agents, plus $200 to $5,000 a month to run them. GrowAxis prices the build and the running after the free growth assessment, from the first task you choose.
- ### Does it need GrowAI?
No. The agent runs on its own. Inside GrowAI it also gets the rest of the AI engine: the company AI brain, the other agents and the monthly review of what they deliver.
