How to choose a digital marketing agency in Dubai: seven questions
Dubai has hundreds of digital marketing agencies, and the portfolios look alike. Seven questions show which ones will bring customers rather than activity: what the work is measured on, who owns the data, how leads reach sales, and what they do about AI search.

“Dubai digital marketing agency” and “marketing agency Dubai” are the top marketing-agency searches in the UAE, and the fastest-rising ones add “healthcare”, “lead generation” and “AI” (Google Trends, twelve months to October 2026). The choice is wide. These seven questions separate a partner that brings customers from one that brings activity.
1. What will the work be measured on?
Ask for the numbers the work will be judged on, and agree them before anything starts. Reach, impressions and followers are easy to grow and hard to turn into revenue. For a startup or SME the useful ones are qualified leads, cost per qualified lead and the pipeline marketing creates.
2. Who owns the accounts, data and content?
Ad accounts, analytics, the website and the CRM should be in your company’s name, with access for the agency. If the relationship ends, the history, audiences and content stay with you.
3. Do they plan English and Arabic separately?
Most business searches in the UAE are in English, but Arabic matters for many sectors and for customers across the Gulf. Ask how keywords and ads are planned in each language, and who writes the Arabic.
4. How do leads reach sales?
Many enquiries in the UAE arrive on WhatsApp or by phone. Ask how calls, forms and messages are captured in one CRM, how quickly each one is followed up, and how you will see which campaign produced which deal.
5. What do they do about AI search?
Generative AI is used more widely in the UAE than almost anywhere, and buyers increasingly ask ChatGPT or Google’s AI Mode for a recommendation before they search. Ask how the agency will make sure those answers find and describe you correctly (GEO), and where AI will save your team time.
6. Who will do the work?
Ask who runs your account day to day, how many other clients they handle, and what happens if they leave. Meet them before you sign.
7. What is live after 30 days?
A serious partner can say what will be running after the first month: tracking, the first campaigns, the pages and the CRM. If the first month is only “strategy”, ask what you will be able to measure at the end of it.
A quick checklist
- KPIs agreed in writing before work starts
- Accounts, data and content in your company’s name
- English and Arabic planned separately
- Every call, form and WhatsApp lead in one CRM
- A plan for AI answers as well as Google
- A named team you have met
- Something live and measurable within 30 days
