Hourly figures divide the monthly rate by 173 hours, a 40-hour week. Senior rates are for people at the level of top companies and multinationals. No role is below $1,500 a month.

What the rate includes

  • The salary, with Egypt’s employer and employee social insurance and the salary tax handled through payroll.
  • Employment in Egypt: the contract, payroll and the filings, so you don’t need a company there.
  • Equipment to work in your tools.
  • Management: GrowAxis equips the person, reviews the work with you and reports on it.

What changes the rate

  • The role and level: senior and specialist roles, such as DevOps, data and security, are harder to fill.
  • The yearly raise the law requires: at least 3% of the insurable wage.
  • The scope: the free growth assessment sets it, and the proposal after it confirms the price before anything starts.

Next to an employer of record

Employer-of-record platforms published fees for Egypt from $199 to $599 a person a month in October 2026. That fee comes on top of the salary and social insurance, and finding the person, equipment and day-to-day management stay with you. An all-in rate puts the employment, the equipment and the management in one price per person, so compare totals, not fees.

How GrowAxis helps

GrowAxis puts dedicated developers in Cairo into your product team and employs, equips and manages them, so you don’t need a company in Egypt. The calculator on the software development teams page uses the same rates for the roles you need.
