07FAQ

Outsourcing to Egypt: what founders ask first.

  • For many growing companies, yes: a large outsourcing industry ($5.2 billion of exports in 2025, according to ITIDA), working hours that overlap with Europe and the Gulf, English across the tech sector, Arabic for Middle East customers, and pay well below Western Europe and North America. Plan for currency moves: pay is set in Egyptian pounds.

  • At GrowAxis’s 2026 rates, a mid-level software engineer costs about $2,500 a month, all in: pay, social insurance, equipment and management. Juniors start at $1,500 and seniors cost about $6,940. The calculator on this page works it out for your roles.

  • Outsourcing hands a job to a vendor that runs it its own way. With an embedded team, the people work inside your company under your direction, while GrowAxis employs and manages them in Egypt.

  • No. GrowAxis is the employer in Egypt, so you don’t need an entity, a local bank account or a payroll provider there.

  • It exported $5.2 billion of services, ITIDA said in August 2026, from 252 companies running 282 delivery centres, 177 of them multinationals, and about 195,300 people worked in exporting companies in June 2026 (ITIDA). ITIDA aims for $6.4 billion in 2026/27.

  • Plan for two things: pay is set in Egyptian pounds, so your cost moves with the exchange rate, and Labour Law 14 of 2025 requires a raise of at least 3% of the insurable wage every year. The calculator on this page shows the cost in your currency.

  • Yes. 177 of the 252 offshoring companies in Egypt are multinationals (ITIDA, August 2026), and in November 2025 ITIDA signed 55 agreements for new or larger centres, expected to create more than 75,000 jobs over three years.
